Leverage Technology To Get Your Message Seen

If you have a business or a product to market, you are always looking for new leads.  In fact, you need to have leads coming in, otherwise your business will become stagnant and you will not make a dime.

Knowing this, there are some marketing techniques that work better than others.  For instance,  when I joined my first network marketing company years ago I was taught to put poster boards and flyers all over my neighborhood to “market” my business.

One day I was out in the middle of a busy intersection dodging cars when I thought to myself, “there has got to be a better way to market this business!”  I felt like an idiot out there zip tying these poster boards to intersection traffic posts.

Putting paper flyers on people’s cars was not much better.  I still felt dumb doing it, and it didn’t bring any kind of desirable results.  Even though I knew these “marketing methods” were ineffective I continued to follow my sponsor’s lead because I didn’t know any better at the time.

Enough is Enough!

Finally after months of getting nowhere, I decided to hop online and see if anyone else in the world was facing these same problems.  Surprisingly, there were tons of people facing these exact same problems.  Once I realized that I could market my business online to thousands or even millions of people, I was hooked!

I began to learn online marketing techniques that were a million times more effective than passing out flyers or hanging up poster boards.  In fact, I got more results the my first week online than I had got in all the months before that combined.

I Noticed Some Similarities

Looking back on the days of flyers and poster boards,  I have realized something.  I realized that online marketing is just a super leveraged way to market your business to more people.  It’s like creating a flyer and getting thousands of people to look at it with the click of a mouse.

It is basically the same concept, except for it is really leveraged and far more effective.  If you think about it, a blog post or an article is very similar to a flyer.  The end goal is still the same. You are trying to generate a lead, and get people interested in your business.

They are similar because you are trying to get the same end result, but they are very different in a lot of other ways.  Physical flyers have a very short lifespan.  People either call the number on them, or they throw them away.  Most of the time people just throw them in the trash.

Articles that you write on the internet have a very long lifespan.  You can create an article today, that can be seen years from now.  This is great because the articles you write today will work for you for years to come.  This allows you to steadily build up your lead flow and make more sales as you go.

They are also very different because of social media and technology.  There are tools that you can use to ensure that more people actually see your article or content.  This increases your exposure and gives you the opportunity to put your message in front of thousands of people at once. With physical flyers it would cost you big bucks and a lot of time to accomplish this task.

Also with social media being a factor, your article or content has the ability to go viral.  This basically means that people share your content with their friends on facebook or their followers on Twitter.  When their friends see your article or content, they share it with their friends and so on.  When this happens you could get MASSIVE exposure for your business and your message.

When you get massive exposure it allows you to generate leads and build your business in a much smarter way.  I don’t know how long I could have gone on hanging poster boards and passing out flyers.  I am glad that I discovered a much better way to market my business.

The most leveraged place to put your content would be a blog.  Writing blog posts is a great way to market your business because blogs make it easy for people to share your content with their friends.  Blogs are also a great way to generate leads and brand YOU at the same time.
