Stop At Nothing

One of the best lines I have ever heard on not quitting came from the actor Will Smith.  He was a guest on a talk show and the host asked him how he was able to be so successful with everything that he has done in his life.  Will replied by saying “I am not afraid to DIE on a treadmill.”  So basically Will Smith was saying that he is not afraid to work hard.  In fact, he is saying that he will work as hard as it takes to accomplish the goal.

This is the attitude that you must have to be successful at anything in life.  You can’t just visualize things to changing in your life, or think about success.  You have to want it so bad that you will stop at NOTHING to get it.  You have to develop a determination so strong that any obstacle you meet will not even phase you from your goal.

The picture I used in this post is of Kobe Bryant during the 2009 NBA Finals. I didn’t put this picture in here because I am a huge Kobe fan, I put it here because when I thought of determination this is the face that came to mind. Look at his face.  Does it look like anything on this planet would have stopped him from achieving what he wanted? Absolutely not, he wanted the championship more than any other player in the league.  In both business and sports whomever wants it most will win.  At the end of the day, it all comes down to how bad you really want it.

It is crucial that you have the correct knowledge, training and tools.  Even more important however, is what you do with all of these.  You could be taught the best knowledge in this world, but if you don’t have the grit and determination to put it to use it will go to waste.

When you decide that you will stop at nothing to reach your goal, then it becomes only a matter of time before you reach it.  The only thing between you and your end desire is time, everything else along the way is a stepping stone.

10,000 Failures Before Success

If you are truly wanting to create financial freedom for yourself and for your family then you must know that there are going to be challenges and setbacks along the way.  If it were easy to step out on your own and create abundance then every one would do it.  The truth is that you will have to face your fears and push yourself in order to get to the next level in your life.

In order to achieve anything significant in life you have to prove to yourself and to the universe that you want it and you will do anything to get it.   Just because you think about success and abundance doesn’t mean that it is going to just show up to your door.  When trying to invent the light bulb Thomas Edison failed 10,000 times before he finally succeeded.  He was then quoted as saying  “I have not failed. I just found 10,000 ways that don’t work.”

Edison did not perceive any of those 10,000 wrong ways as failures, he just saw them as stepping stones moving him closer to his goal.  This is the attitude winners and champions have.  They go after what they want and if things don’t work out as planned they learn from the so called “failures” and keep progressing toward their goal.

If you have failed at something in the past just realize that it got you to where you are today and that it pushed you one step closer to your goals and dreams.  If you deem yourself as a failure then you have learned nothing and have allowed an obstacle to overcome you.

Most people simply quit when they encounter a problem because they don’t want it bad enough.  They will always be looking for an easier way, or they will expect others to put in the effort for them.  For these people it is a sobering truth to find out that nothing can be accomplished without hard work and determination.  Don’t be afraid to push yourself, don’t be afraid to go where you haven’t gone before, and last of all don’t let anything or anyone stop you from achieving what you want.
